TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR STORE MANAGER

Post: Store Manager

Reports to: General Manager

Responsible for: Overall store operations, staff management, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.

Purpose of the Job: To lead and manage all aspects of the store’s operations to achieve sales targets, ensure efficient operations, and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

  – Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales and profitability targets.

  – Manage and motivate store staff to achieve goals and objectives.

  – Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock availability.

  – Maintain high standards of store presentation and cleanliness.

  – Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Duties:

  – Oversee daily operations including sales, inventory, and customer service.

  – Recruit, train, and supervise staff.

  – Analyze sales data and prepare reports for management.

  – Manage budgets and control expenses.

Main Activities:

  – Sales and customer service management

  – Inventory and stock management

  – Staff recruitment, training, and supervision

  – Financial management and reporting

Experience:

  – Proven experience as a Store Manager or in a similar managerial role.

  – Experience in retail management.

Qualifications:

  – Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred.

Competences:

  – Strong leadership and organizational skills.

  – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  – Knowledge of retail management software and systems.
