Job Title: Teller
Unit: Retail Operations

B. ORGANISATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Directly Reports to: Branch Service Head
C. JOB SUMMARY
Provide efficient and courteous teller services to customers.
D. SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
- Regular/Routine
Ensure documentation in deposit and withdrawal instruments are complete and
accurate.
Ensure validity of all instruments used in conducting transactions.
Receive all cheques of any amount; provide timely and courteous cashier service to
all customers.
Obtain appropriate approvals from Branch Service Head, or appropriate approval
authority for amounts beyond own limit.
Monitor cash-in-till balance and request for funds as required.
Monitor adequacy of cash-in-till balance while ensuring exposure is within approved
insurance limit.
Special products delivery
Administer telegraphic funds transfer services.
End of day balancing and reconciliation of accounts
Process and raise entry to credit customer salary account with monthly salary.
Perform other duties as assigned by Branch Service Head - Periodic Responsibilities

G. SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum Education: A minimum of five (5) credits, including English and
Mathematics in WASSCE, and a Diploma certificate from a reputable institution
Formal Training: Banking Law/Regulation
Minimum Experience: No experience required.
