Position: Cashier

Job Description: We are looking for a reliable and efficient Cashier to manage all transactions with customers accurately and efficiently. The successful candidate will ensure that all payments are collected and recorded correctly, and provide excellent customer service while doing so.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers as they arrive and direct them to the appropriate department
  • Ring up sales and process payments using a cash register or point-of-sale system
  • Issue receipts, refunds, and change to customers as required
  • Ensure that cash in the register is balanced and accounted for at the end of each shift
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions and report any discrepancies to management
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints
  • Keep the checkout area clean and well-stocked with supplies
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a cashier or in a similar customer service role
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Familiarity with cash registers and point-of-sale systems
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required
